The Mortgage Credit Certificate provides homebuyers with a percentage of their mortgage interest back in the form of a federal income tax credit for the life of the loan. In essence, it is a dollar-for-dollar credit or about $150 a month savings per borrower.
This application will calculate the estimated yearly and monthly savings by using an MCC.
